Daily USD/EUR Currency Data Missing

Hello,

We noticed that the daily USD/EUR currency data is missing. The latest one is on the 29/03.
Ex: https://db.nomics.world/ECB/EXR/D.USD.EUR.SP00.A

is this normal? Could you please check?

Hi David,

Thank you very much for your feedback! Indeed there was an error in a daily process for ECB.

This is now fixed, we see the latest data for the series of ECB (I checked the one you mentioned).

It seems that the problem came back. The latest data is from 14/04.

Hello,

Quick update, it seems that there are some gaps in the data.
In the link of my 1st comment, after cbenz’s update, you can see that we had the data until 08/04 then it restarted on 11/04, then it stopped again on 14/04, came back on 19/04, stopped on 22/04 and restarted again on 25/04.

Is this normal?

Actually the missing observations come from the original provider data. ECB provides SDMX data, here is an excerpt from the example series:

          <generic:Value id="OBS_STATUS" value="A"/>
          <generic:Value id="OBS_CONF" value="F"/>
        </generic:Attributes>
      </generic:Obs>
      <generic:Obs>
        <generic:ObsDimension value="2022-04-25"/>
        <generic:ObsValue value="1.0746"/>
        <generic:Attributes>
          <generic:Value id="OBS_STATUS" value="A"/>
          <generic:Value id="OBS_CONF" value="F"/>
        </generic:Attributes>
      </generic:Obs>

We can see that there is a hole between 2022-04-22 and 2022-04-25.

DBnomics does not try to fill the holes with “NA” (non available) values. In other words, the “NA” values you see on DBnomics are there only if they are provided by the provider.
