Destatis

Hi,
looking at Destatis data on national accounts, I found that some data are not up-to-date, for example :
DESTATIS/81000BV008/DG.VGRJPM.X12ARIMAKSB.VGR026
DESTATIS/81000BV008/DG.VGRPKM.X12ARIMAKSB.VGR026
DESTATIS/81000BV008/DG.VGRPVK.X12ARIMAKSB.VGR026

Could you have a look at that ?
Thank you for your help and all the stuff!

Hi Bruno,

Thanks for this report!

FYI, DESTATIS datafile for 81000BV006 dataset was last downloaded on 2019-06-06, although the update date found in DESTATIS datafile was 2018-11-23 (This date appear on DBnomics dataset page)

Could you give us more insights to help us solve the problem?

Hi,
thank you for your quick answer. When I retrieve data directly from Destatis, I get up-to-date figures (see attached file). One reason could be that they are updating their site, and that they may have created new tables :
“National accounts - Use of the gross domestic product
(nominal/price-adjusted): Germany, quarters, original/calendar- and seasonally adjusted values”
is in a table with number 810000-0020.

Hi,

DBnomics retrieve DESTATIS data as datacubes from GENESIS-Online Datenbank.

Destatis tables (as the one you sent as attached file) seem to be a different kind of entity. Do you know how to match datacube and tables to be able to compare similar data?

For data update, DBnomics download process is based on Update Statistics info to get fresh data when published.

Hi,
sorry I don’t know how to match these data, but it sounds like the cube you download from Destatis is not up-to-date. for example I checked another series : DESTATIS/81000BV004/DG.BV4SB.ABG002
Destatis gives data until 2019-Q1 whereas DBNOMICS’ last figure is for 2018-Q3
